Hexham 3:40 Funky Munky travelled like an absolute dream over 2m 4f last time out at Carlisle, traded at a low of 1.02 and got done on the line. This is around 3 furlongs shorter which is just perfect due to how strong he travels. I am very surprised he is not clear favourite for this contest on the back of that run even though he has gone up a bit in the weights. Should not be this price and will surely shorten. Re: National Hunt Racing > Wednesday November 20th 13.20 - Warwick - King Massini @ 10/1 Paddypower Went in my notebook 249 days ago after shaping as if 2m was an insufficient trip and although he now tackles fences off the back of a long break i feel he is still worth a bet. The dual point winner showed plenty to work with in his 5 starts over hurdles and looks the type to improve over the bigger obstacles. The step back up from 2m to the extended 2m 1/2 should be right up his street, particularly as he's run well over this trip before. I'd be extremely surprised if he didn't prove better than a mark of 107 in time and the fact he was well backed in both handicap starts over hurdles also suggests likewise. I don't see the break as a massive negative he was declared to race a few weeks before becoming a non-runner so i'm assuming he's ready for this. Hails from a yard who do well with their chasers and i really rate Paul Moloney as a jockey. Should outrun his price in my opinion.
