3.30 - Carlisle - Wicklow Lad @ 10/1 Coral You can make a really good case for a few of these so I went with the one I felt was best value, which is Wicklow Lad. He has some reasonable form from over in Ireland and looked in need of the run when having his first run for his new stable on these shores. He been given some immediate respite from the handicapper dropping 8lbs from 122 to 114 which also sees him drop in grade. He ran a great race on his last start in Ireland when 2nd in a competitive Punchestown handicap and if turning up in that sort of form I feel he'll go well. Hard to know what his best trip is but his last win came back in March over 19f so this should be about right. He should hopefully come on a lot for that first run (has always needed a run or two in the past) and with all of his form coming on a testing surface I fancy him to go well.
