spreadman Posted March 17, 2005 Share Posted March 17, 2005 HI THERE! It's THURSDAY 17TH MARCH AND WELCOME TO THE FIRST OFFICIAL POSTING OF THE MERCEDES 'A' CLASS CHALLENGE. I had hoped that this might be DAY1 of the 99 days I have allowed myself to win enough money to purchase a brand new Mercedes 'A' class car, ( Channel islands price approx. £15995,- no vat here ). It appears from your kind messages that I am not alone in the quest to win money to buy a car. No bets today so I'll lay down a few markers as to how I intend to proceed. O.K., so it's £15995 in 99 days. That's around £160 profit per day , over £1,000 per week - a tall order considering my starting bank is £1000, so obviously I have to start with relatively small bets and increase gradually. I will try and provide a running record of bets, stakes, bank status before and after betting etc. My first bet will appear under a new thread in this forum tomorrow night around 6 pm. As for tonight, if I was going to bet on the Lisbon V Middlesboro match on Channel 5, I'd probably buy hotshots but hasselbaink is not expected to play, and I can't see the other hot shots scoring twice to provide a profit.
