Paid a visit to the Irish National Stud this weekend. Thanks god the weather was nice, so it was a lovely autumn day and the shiny sun transformed the stud into a colourful wonderland! The Stud is a beautiful place and well worth a visit. You get a guided tour, get to see from the five star boxes to the "honeymoon suite" over paddocks absolutely everything including the stallions like Famous Name and Dragon Pulse. Star attraction is of course Invincible Spirit. He looks a kind of creepy character, though, I have to say. Highlight of the stud is for me personally the paddock of the living legends. Vintage Crop, Moscow Flyer, Kicking King and Beef or Salmon residing there together and these guys have formed a great bond you can really feel it. Great to see them enjoining retirement in this wonderful environment. .
