Flat Racing 2nd Oct Wednesday

Recommended Posts

5.40 Kempton The first class 7 handicap of the AW season and all the usual sorts involved here with plenty to prove etc. Volcanic Dust is dangerously handicapped and drops into class 7 for the first time, she has an awful strike rate and losing run stacking up by over 2 years now. All wins have been on turf to date but has form on the AW and has gone closer the last 3 starts on turf off higher marks and under an inexperienced jockey so should go very well under Kingscote. Christopher Chua remains a maiden, easy to excuse latest run coming back from a break and also clipping heels and stumbling but even so needs to find more to get head in front. Royal Caper makes no interest over this trip. Borough Boy is very in and out and appaling effort last time out requires a lot more. Flow Chart has dropped to 2lb below last winning mark but always looked better over 6f and last 2 efforts have been disappointing at present. Avonlini has now dropped to last winning mark but showed nothing on reappearance so really has to step up on that. Medam hasn’t shown much on turf of late but is on a good mark and all wins and form have come on this surface so would be no surprise to see a big run although draw hasn’t been kind. Met Chief is easily opposed over this sprint trip with best form coming over 6f and 7f. Rightcar has little record fresh but what there is is poor so wouldn’t be a surprise to see him need this run and yard continue quiet and some time since won off a mark this high. 2pt win Volcanic Dust 5/1 PP

Re: Flat Racing 2nd Oct Wednesday Will be keeping a wee eye on Muir's horses tomorrow, has one in a maiden (2.30pm @ Newcastle) with Costello up (winner and 2nd from last 2 stable rides, one of which was an unraced maiden). Has 2 maidens with Dywer up top @ Salisbury, will be watching the market for these but fancy 'Breaking The Bank' in the claimer to win. Stable could have a decent day.
