Hi Everyone I have been doing some very interesting reading about TIME SERIES DATA ANALYSIS and for you like minded people I recommend taking a look at it. The mathematical branch of statistics is really what its all about and with that comes PREDICTIVE MODELLING. I would love to know if anyone here has looked into this or has some knowledge. It is used in many areas – finance and banking, physics research, engineering, medical research to name just a few and it does look very good, being able to make highly accurate forecasting on data tables. The reason for my interest is simple – I have a few years of HORSE RACE RESULTS in Excel and I see it as nothing more than STATISTICAL DATA. Results are statistics, FACT. I have already come up with some great numbers at very high percentages and for long periods of time too. I firmly believe I have the makings of several systems in the data but if I could incorporate it with this software it could turn out to be truly amazing. So once again if there is anyone who can help with some pointers in the right direction it will be very much appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you and doing some more posting – this may turn out to be a very interesting and long running thread. Have fun folks.
