MATTERSBURG – PARNDORF (Austria 2nd division) Before this championship started bookies predicted Mattersburg and Parndorg on two different ends on table, as first promotion candidate and first relegation candidate. After six rounds status of Mattersburg as favourite is seriously disturbed, while last year’s third league club Parndorf remained at the bottom regarding chances to stay in this league. Parndorf’s defense is worst in league – their goalkeeper has most interventions so far in this league which means that poor defending leaves a whole lot of space for opposition to shoot and to score as well (they have an average of two conceded goals per match).
