mattyrobinson Posted June 30, 2013 Share Posted June 30, 2013 Everyone knows that some stables love to have a gamble their runners while others rarely do, so my suggestion is that if a Trainer/Jockey combination are regularly involved in them, then a very high betting strike rate could be achieved following selections that are well backed. For example, it was recently pointed out to me that David O'Meara and Danny Tudhope nearly always land a gamble when the money is down. If you carefully look at the O'Meara runners for the day and see if any money appears for Danny's rides then I reckon you could hit a fairly decent percentage of winners (with main losses coming from misidentifying a gamble) and in fact over the last month or so I have managed just that. You will typically see that the money starts coming for their runner and the price gets cut and cut throughout the day (as opposed to getting smashed in 10mins before the off). So my questions are as follows: Which stables are actively involved in gambles and appear to land them with a high rate of success? Do some trainers seem to land gambles at a certain track?
