He has a way of improving horses no end, even when they look like they have reached their peak, he seems to get more out of them somehow. This horse ran well over course and distance last time out when third to Ardmay, just over 1 length behind. He has been dropped 1 pound for that run, and Ardmay has gone up 2 pounds, so there is a 3 pound reversal tomorrow, which should be enough to turn the form around. Big chance.

She was also upped in trip that day and tried on turf for the first time so there was many factors that lead to this improvement as well as the obviously lenient handicap mark which she made a mockery of by running out a 4 length winner. It is well known that Mark Johnston does well with horses when stepping them up to middle distances and this is just another example of that. She goes over 10 furlongs again today and although the ground will be a bit quicker here at Ripon today, I do feel as long as the ground stays good then she will have no hesitations to following up her win at Leicester.
