chris34
3.30 Redcar Not the greatest card in the world with some pretty lowly rated horses running on this card and this is the feature handicap of the card and some reasonable sorts line up. Mont Ras went without a victory last year but ran to a decent level on most starts but the fact remains he is still 11lb above last winning mark and does need to find some improvement from somewhere although yard can often find more and remain in good form. Summerinthecity is started to become a horse that appears to go best when fresh and turns up here just 5days after his last run, also yet to win over 7f doesn’t appear at the top of my list unlike the market. Jessies Spirit lightly raced and handicapper given her a real chance but something to prove having missed the whole of last season also this trip a question mark. Silverware bounced back from a couple of lesser efforts last time out, not the most consistent and wouldn’t be an obvious type. Gonna chance Showboating another chance, he totally fluffed the start last week at Yarmouth but ran a very bold race to finish 2nd. He will need to be away smarter back over this 7f but is clearly still not handicapped out of things and should get a race run to suit with several of these likely to be prominent. 1pt e/w Showboating 7/1 pp 6.40 Chepstow Pretty poor race and plenty of question marks. Admiral Duque is known for his exploits on AW at Wolverhampton usually and generally struggles on turf. Descaro is atleast in some sort of form having won a selling and claiming hurdle recently, that form doesn’t amount to much, this trip probably on the short side aswell. Kyllachykov ran a poor race when last seen 3 months ago having won 2 previous starts and clearly something wasn’t right but this mark does require a career best and question marks now! Beacon Lady was improving towards the end of last season proving stamina for this trip last time out, handicapper reacted quickly and up 3lb without winning looks harsh given the winner (Maccabees who races here again today) is not much of a yard stick and has been soundly beaten plenty of times since form looks weak. Akarana finally showed some form last time out and Fallon is an interesting booking but does have to back that up although that form working out well so cant be dismissed lightly but turf also an unknown. A chance is taken on Ice Tres who has been running to a respectable level all starts showing some promise and race not run to suit last time out behind The Blue Dog but ran well considering to finish 3rd on handicap debut, up a lb for that effort but could still have more to offer in a more truly run race. Yard in good form and if handling turf could easily build on that effort. 1pt e/w Ice Tres 11/1 bet365
