Flat Racing 31st March

2.20 Mussleburgh Not a particularly strong race to kick off the day but there is one that jumps out at the page for me. Very little was coming from the rear yesterday (other than Hi There) so I feel prominent runners clearly have an advantage at the moment which is often the case here at Musselburgh. Jordaura has been ridden patiently most recently on the AW and shown very little, but last win came over CD in October off a 1lb lower mark, that was a selling handicap and he thrashed the field in pretty desperate conditions. Unlikely to be as testing today and just doesn’t look in same form at the moment. Cosmic Moon often races off the pace and is rather inconsistent and can throw several poor runs in including when last seen in October, he still remains 2lb above his last winning mark. Yard appear in very good form and he has been well backed so yard must be confident he returns in good form but record fresh also poor. El Bravo put a better effort in last time out at Kempton over much further and this trip looks a bare minimum these days. Depending on what Major Eradicator (held up yesterday but has made nearly all to win past) does Flipping may get a soft lead in this field and he is reliant on a soft lead. Largely disappointing last season and in a light 2011 season but he is dangerously handicapped on his 2010 form having won off 68 now running off 56. New yard may have been a switch to reignite him. 1pt e/w Flipping 10/1 hills 5.25 Musselburgh Greenhead High has been in good form on the AW recently rattling up a hatrick, last win came off a mark of 70 gets to race on turf off a mark of 60 so could be well handicapped but he has failed to show very little on limited turf starts so that is a worry. Roys Legacy is another that looks well handicapped on his AW form and he does have form on turf but most of that has come on faster ground so conditions not ideal. Alpha Tauri is 30lb+ better off on turf but his form on turf goes knowhere near the form of his AW wins. Pull The Pin is the least exposed in the lineup. He is a quirky sort and the blinkers did the trick last time out to win off a mark of 50 on the fibresand, drop back to 5f doesn’t look a problem as he doesn’t lack speed so aslong as a 5lb rise in the weights doesn’t prove a stumbling block he should go well in a pretty exposed lineup. 2pt win Pull The Pin 3/1 VC

Re: Flat Racing 31st March 15.50 Musselburgh: Getabuzz @ 11/1 Bet365 Looks a shade overpriced to me in this field as he clearly goes well on this ground and gets the trip, also he did very well on his seasonal reappearance last year, so no reason why he shouldn't do the same today. He held his form quite well last year too, producing a couple of really fine performances while also winning a decent Handicap over 15f at Doncaster in good style. He's 4lb higher in the mark today but showed he's competitive of this sort of marks.
