The second European Tour event of the season takes place in Stuttgart this weekend. There's no TV coverage but there's enough coverage on twitter, facebook and the PDC websites and live scoring to get a feel of what's going on so there could be some money to be made over the weekend. Draw is here: http://www.pdc.tv/european-tour/article/1n0d1ysjc2gpj129ogu5976j5q/title/european-darts-trophy-draw-made

Re: European Darts Trophy - 30 Mar-1 Apr I'll have a go with a couple of outrights. 1.5pts ew A.Hamilton to win European Darts Trophy 22/1 Sportingbet (1/2 1-2) Andy Hamilton is in decent nick at the minute and he made the semi finals of the first of these European Tour events this season so the hectic nature of them isn't something that worries him greatly. He's playing that well at the minute that he's even able to bust 164 and that has to be noted. The bottom quarter of this draw has opened right up as Simon Whitlock has pulled out of it leaving Ian White as the main seed in it. White's a capable player but hasn't done anything in 2013 yet so I'm happy to take him on in this quarter and take him on with the Hammer who is enjoying life in the Premier League, scoring heavily, finishing well and who even had a 9 dart finish in a UK Open qualifier a couple of weeks back. Yes he could run into form horses in MVG or Thornton in the semi finals but his path until that semi final could barely be much smoother apart from maybe a hairy match against Dean Winstanley. At these odds the Hammer looks a good punt at 22/1. 1pt ew J.Caven to win European Darts Trophy 50/1 Bet365 (1/2 1-2) I never thought I'd ever type those words :lol. As it goes though I'm happy to type them and back him because he has already shown major improvement this season and having reached the final of a UK Open qualifier a couple of weeks back I think he's ready to take his form up onto the big stage. In that UK Open qualifier Caven thrashed James Wade 6-1 and we've seen in the Premier League how well Wade is playing right now. He also beat Gary Anderson before running into a red hot Robert Thornton in the final but that's good form. I have seen a couple of results which suggest 'Jabba' has been throwing averages over 100 and with the weakness of this top half that has to be respected. Caven has been practicing with Kevin Painter which is good solid work and at some point the floor form will go with him onto the big stage. If that's this week then he has the draw to do plenty of damage which makes him worth a punt at 50/1.
