Identifying Fillies in Handicaps etc.

Recommended Posts

Can anyone please tell me how/where I can easily find out if a horse I intend to bet on is a filly/mare, that is, a female running against the males. I've checked my daily paper and the racecards in the Racing Post online but no info. Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received. Thanks. Nobber.

Re: Identifying Fillies in Handicaps etc. When viewing a horses record on the Racing Post site (by clicking on their name on the racecard) it says at the top their age, date of birth, colour and sex. g = gelding c = colt f= filly m = mare
