PGremlin
I just had an discussion with a friend of mine. Might be interested to play a live poker tournament game if I go to London for a weekend. Does anyone live in/near London? What's your favorite place in London for low buyin tournament game (somewhere between 20 till 80 pounds buyin)? Danshot
Re: Live poker in London? I've not played in London but the Genting Casinos have always seemed very professional and reasonable buy in's , the one in South Kensington runs a £65 freezeout megastack on a Saturday so maybe worth checking out. http://www.gentingcasinos.co.uk/casino/cromwell/
swampster
Re: Live poker in London? many of the dedicated card clubs have gone but if you want a poker-only place rather than a casino, Big Bluff in Palmers Green is worth checking out. Other than that the new ASpers Casino by the Olympic Park is worth a shout.
Haichan
Re: Live poker in London? I've played the mint in south ken. Its very small with limited poker room, just a house really. Games are very loose. Grosvenor vic is a better card room but the tournys are even looser. The best room was the Fox which Genting closed down. Not played at Aspers yet
Danshot
Re: Live poker in London? Totally agreed with that Haichan loved playing at Fox always friendly staff and most player that played there seemed polite and chatty too never any problems in despite it being smaller I give it edge over DTD as my personal favouriite. Thought player funds would been transferred to a more suitable venue instead of one with limited card room.
