6.10 Wolverhampton Just the on that interests me on pretty uninteresting card for a Friday night. Handicapper probably has Miss Bunter just about in the right place for now and will need to show marked improvement to be winning tonight. Danziger is going for the 4 timer tonight, she has been well campaigned by connections running in pretty modest affairs and winning convincingly non more so than last time out, effectively only 3lb higher under todays penalty and handicapper struggling to get hold of her at present and she should run a big race given the times of those races look solid but this does look a better contested affair having to carry top weight. Courageous bounced back to form behind Danziger last time out being ridden from the front 2lb better off with that rival today and clever booking of Tart takes a further 7lb off so if that wasn’t a flash in the pan he should go well having one off marks in the low 80’s at his best but overall strike rate appalling at 2 from 49. Gask yard in good form at present and Wicked Wench made a positive start for the yard when 3^rd over CD last time out, runs off same mark today, better known for her exploits on the fibresand and may be better off returning to that surface now the flying 5 is back open. Novabridge looks another the handicapper has caught up with and will need a career best effort off this sort of mark and also faces plenty of competition for the lead. Speightowns Kid landed a touch in November winning with such ease but has totally failed to repeat that in 6 starts since and looking worse than ever last 2 starts, this trip isn’t ideal and with the drop in trip likely she will be prominent and plenty of these like to be up with the pace too and she is drawn out wide. Race should be run to suit for both Methaaly and Shawkantango who are both risky propositions the latter especially often throws his chances away at the start, he is a very tricky customer but is down to his last winning mark again and likely to pop up at Southwell where he has been seen to best effect. Methaaly looks handicapped out of things at present given his effort last time out at 10 yrs old he just isn’t as good as he was and he is hard to warm to in this company with a few improving sorts. Cincinnati Kit really caught the eye on penultimate start but she has burnt plenty of fingers along the way to her first victory, always shaped as if she had ability and was subject to heavy market support last time out under a Spencer special being held up to rattle home with some degree of comfort over CD in a class 7 handicap. Up 7lb for that and up 2 grades into a class 5 carrying bottom weight so obviously needs to improve again but given the style of her victory hinted there was more to come now she was heading in the right direction.
