4.20 Carlisle Red Tyke 1pt win @ 5/1 Bet365 John Quinn's runners are in cracking form at the moment with their last 3 runners all winning. This horse looks to have every chance of getting the hat-trick over hurdles in what looks a pretty open contest. The favourite is in great form but has a huge rise in the weights to overcome so I am happy to take that one on. Red Tyke was last seen over hurdles at kelso where he got the better of the 113 rated Fine Kingdom. He has an opening handicap mark of 119 which makes him the highest rated in this field but his young rider takes off a handy 7lbs. Ground will be no problem and he should run well.

Re: BBOTD Thursday 7th 20.40 Wolverhampton: Apache Glory @ 12/1 Bet365 Not saying she would have won lto here at Wolverhampton but she was clearly a shade unlucky and could have finished closer if things would have worked more her way. She travelled nicely in rear but was then locked on the inside turning for home along the home bend while the leading trio and the eventual winner had the run of the race and kicked away at this point of the race. Apache Glory made some decent headway in the home straight then when space opened, unfortunately not long enough as then she was short of room over 1f out and had to wait until again her jockey switched her quite dramatically in direction of the inside rail where she had room and ran on well to the line. She didn't win for a long time now but showed a couple of good performance in recent time and is down to career lowest mark. With Andrea Atzeni again booked I'm hopeful that Apache Glory will provide at least a run for the money.
