lvtcIV.jpg [h=1]Las Vegas Team Challenge IV[/h] The Las Vegas Team Challenge is an online team league running for 10 weeks from Monday 4th March 2013 to Thursday 9th May 2013 consisting of 20 tournaments culminating in a live final with $66,000 in prizes! First Team prize is a Las Vegas Team Vacation worth up to $48,000. Second Team prize is a UK Poker Package worth up to $12,000 and Most Valuable Player (MVP) Prize worth a guaranteed $6,000! 60% of the prize pool generated in each online league game is retained to fund the Live Final Prizes and the remaining 40% is paid out as per the weekly payout structure below. The prizes are guaranteed at $50,000 and will be topped up to $66,000 when and if the prize pool generated hits the guarantee. For more information see ‘Prize Generation’ below. Each week players earn points according to their finishing position in the online league games. The amount of points awarded varies depending on the number of entrants in each league game and the round in which your playing, please see ‘League Points’ tables below. A player’s best score from the two online league games per week will be added to their team total. This means a player can choose to play in either or both of the weekly league games but only the best will count. Team’s total points are converted into the starting stack at the Live Final on the weekend of 25th and 26th May 2013. Teams must be between 2 and 4 players and each player must play a minimum of 10 out of the 20 League Online games to qualify for the Live final. The last date for team registration is Sunday 7th April 2013, which gives enough time for the whole team to play in at least 10. Submit your team here. A player joining late, or one who has missed some rounds is able to ‘catch up’ by playing both Online League games in a single round, but only their best points score each week will contribute to their team total.

After last year's carve up with the "random" picking of teams? No thanks.
Genting carve up? Or PL selection mate? Can't remember what happened last time but usually people free to pick their own teams I would've thought, random selection usually suggested when no one has taken up the mantel or nothing is getting done. Sometimes fairest way too ofc. If genting are making changes themselves then raises whole other concerns. Might be interested myself but need to look into it further first, appears to require quite a commitment, time & $ wise, prizes appear very top heavy with everything coming from buyins yes? No added value?

Yep, it really is a commitment and very easy to sack it off when you feel things aren't "all they should be". I know a team from here did extremely well but I personally realised that team events maybe are not for me. Good luck to all those who take part :ok

Re: Las Vegas Team Challenge is Back!!! Starts March 4th 2013 From memory, there were 2 PL teams last year. Our team was managed superbly well by Andy B who went on to win $3k each :nana. The other team had a player that could not count to 10 and only played in 9 events which ruled the whole team out of the live final. If you can't commit to play minimum of 10 times and commit to playing in Sheffield on 25/26 May shouldn't put your name down as let's down 3 other people. It's easier for me to get to Spain than Sheffield but I'm in again this year.

Starts March 4th 2013 Think I'll give it a miss, little if any actual added value, would rather use the $300+ to buy into regular tournaments with a fishier field & regular 100% payout. Also still grinding the GPS sats, will make Southend-on-Sea my "vegas" this year ;) Good luck all who play though, seems like a fun event & good opportunity if you get a decent run going.

Re: Las Vegas Team Challenge is Back!!! Starts March 4th 2013 If anyone is doing this be carefull and make sure you can all make the final. We had one guy 3 years ago that didnt turn upto the final and basically all the money invested was wasted as with 3 you are massive underdogs. Its a fun event for sure and if I could guarantee that my team members would show up I would definatly do it, but i cant so its not for me. On the note that someone put on here about the guy only playing 9 games when everyone else had invested all that time, I feel your pain, that sucks and I would be suprised if any of these players would bother with this event again but I may be wrong. Good luck to anyone that does go and congrats to the PL members who won the $3k each sweet result. Back to the grind :)
