chris34
3.05 Lingfield Fairly reasonable handicap with a few of these showing better signs recently. Patavium Prince isn’t getting any younger and won last time out fresh comes here again fairly fresh but a 3lb rise leaves him looking vunerable on what he has achieved over the past year or so drawn also been unkind. Hereford Boy is regressing badly at present and cannot be suggested in any shape at present and a price of 9/2 is ridiculous. Bridger yard went through a good patch recently and Welsh Inlet took advantage of that and a lenient mark to win twice recently struggled off revised mark over CD and is now 0 from 15 around here. Spirit of Xaar looks vulnerable over this sort of trip these days and despite a good run last time out needs to back that up. Musson yard gone quiet recently and although Ensnare is capable off this sort of mark he has quickly gone back to his old ways. Jackie Love has fallen back to her last winning mark over CD and did shape a bit better last time out, often needs a strong pace and not sure that’s guaranteed today. Arachnophobia is the one that interests me the most. He suggested at a return to form last time out over this trip at Kempton under George Baker who rides again today who is a strong booking. Yard also had a winner recently. Despite a 2lb rise in the weights for last run he is still 24lb below his last winning mark. Baby Dottie is the only other front runner in the field but he is much better drawn and may just get a good lead in this and should go well. 2pt win Arachnophobia 5/1 VC 5.30 Wolverhampton Class 7 handicaps aren’t everyones cup of tea but I tend to do ok in them I feel the key to them is finding a horse that is well handicapped and in form can pay for a lot against horses out of sorts. They often don’t run 2 races the same so reliable horses also important at this level. Chateau Lola has gone a bit off the boil on recent starts although has run consistently. Slow starts have become a huge issue on recent starts with the visor failing to help last time out needs to find a little more. Dear Ben was well backed on first start after break last time out, he has been well backed again this morning suggesting he is working well, tongue tie added to hood today. Showed very little last time so is a very risky proposition. Cadmium Loch found the very well handicapped Flow Chart too good in one of these last week over 6f, he too is well handicapped but not sure this return to 5f is a good idea given the strong run. Fantasy Fighter suggested a return to form on penultimate start but failed to build on it last time out and has now just had too many opportunities and looks like one to avoid. Deveze has gone close a couple of times including last time out but 1 from 25 tells its own story not the easiest one to predict very in and out. Rightcar is generally reliable this time of year on this surface, 4 from 64 again tells the story at this level but has placed 13 times on this surface. He is very well handicapped on his best form last win came off 52 off 45 today, yard had a winner under this useful apprentice who claims a handy 5lb at this level. The harder they go up front the better, he isn’t the easiest ride in the world but this jockey showed good skills to get Flow Chart home from a likely similar position last week. Could go well at an e/w price. 1pt e/w Rightcar 8/1 VC
bully3061
Re: Flat Racing 15th Feb 6.00 Speed Steed is a bit bigger than i thought it should be @5 and is worth a interest to build on its win here recently over CD. Same claimer on board and a repeat of our run lto puts us in the mix. Going was slow that day but on breeding standard going should be more to our liking. This race is open to better horses but there are no 65 rated running today so if building on our last run the 3lb rise is very workable. Not one to go mad with but should be in the mix. 0.25pt win 5 0.75pt place 1.
