Jezza
Hey punter, Saw you asked some questions whilst I was away, rather than drag up old threads I will attempt to answer them here... You asked what crypto servers meant, well.... A lot of online poker companys are all "linked" - they are basically the same site, just different ways of accessing them. For example bet365 is prima poker as is royal vegas poker. If you log onto royal vegas you will see exactly the same tables/games/players as if you logged into bet365. Prima poker is around 40 sites now I think. So when I tell my mates on MSN where I am playing I might just say "prima" rather than the actual site Im accessing from. Cryptologic are a company that write online casino and pokerroom software. They two have a shared network. Betfair, william hill and littlewoods are some of the members (they have about 10 I think in total). So for this reason I might say I am going to play on the crypto servers rather than betfair. You also said you played in a tournament where the first 20 won seats in another tournament and 21st got some money. To answer your question (does that mean there are 20 seats total), no - there will be a lot more than 20 seats in the big tournament as there will be other satellites and people can buy in direct to it as well. What it means is that there were only 20 seats as a prize in the tournament you were in. Hope that helps punter just ask away mate if there is anything else you are unsure on. WorkingForTheEnemy
Re: punter66 - your questions mate There also may have been more than 20 seats available for that tourney but often its 1 per a certain amount of entrants. eg. 1 seat per 10 entrants so 200 entrants wouldgive 20 seats. If more had entered more seats wouldve been available. The money for 21st likely came from spare entrants that didnt make enough for an extra seat eg. 204 entrants. 21st would get 4/10 of the price of the seat in cash.
