16.15 - Kempton - Boris The Bold @ 12/1 Bet365 Probably not the wisest move tackling an unpredictable race like this but cant help feeling that Boris The Bold is going to put in a decent showing tomorrow. He has some moderate maiden form from back in late 2011 but hasnt really got it going in handicaps since his return to racing last October. He has atleast drifted down the handicap and is now off a lowly mark of 46 (opening handicap mark was 60) so if he is ever going to win a race it will be something of this calibre by the looks of things, even though he is only unexposed with 7 career runs to date. What interests me was his penultimate run over this C&D back in November in a similar race to this, although he finished 8th i thought he shaped slightly better than the result, he went out infront from his low draw and set a decent gallop before fading in the final furlong and ending up 3-4L back and i just feel with some slightly less agressive tactics and the fact he is 4lb lower tomorrow he could well go close. Didnt run much of a race lto but probably found 10f too far and return to a mile looks in his favour. Yard not had a winner so far this year but George Baker a positive jockey booking and he rides Kempton pretty well. Drawn low so can hopefully get a decent early position and while the market will probably be a decent guide for this one i'll take my chances now that he's ready for a big run. 19.15 - Kempton - Peace Of Our Time @ 7/2 Bet365 I think that Peace Of Our Time should overturn the form with favourite Easydoesit in the last at Kempton. The favourite is bidding for a hatrick and while dangerous to rule out i think the double penalty will be hard to shoulder in this, and being drawn in stall 14 does him no favours either. My selection has just over 1L to find with Easydoesit but does have a healthy swing in the weights when jockeys allowances are taken into account. Prior to his 3rd lto he went even closer when 2nd on what was his handicap debut, he is still unexposed with only 5 career starts to date and does look as if he will be getting off the mark sooner rather than later. As i mentioned inform 7lb claimer takes over in the saddle, has a much better draw than his market rivals and with a little bit of improvement i think he should take this.

Re: Flat Racing Wednesday 16th January *Quality Art > Lingfield 3:10 > WIN @ 8/1 VC BOG* Ran well for a very long way last time out after a break, going off in front and just dying inside the final furlong. It should strip fitter today and runs off the same mark of 72. This also represents a drop in grade from Class 4 to Class 5, the horse is well treated and Richard Guest does very well with his runners on the all-weather. The horse has won on this surface before and is a 2-time distance winner. Looks a good price at 8/1 with a lot of things ticking the boxes.
