Re: WSOP.com Season opener - Rendezvous Casino Brighton Feb.2/3 £220 buy in I will try to remember to lurk at 7.15pm and jump in/donate $7 to get you started if still 1 short, but tbh I've lost all interest in these. Any site that is failing to get 2 people to start a Step 1 at peak times during the day will never get the higher steps going. More time wasted today. Imo it's unlikely there will ever be a seat, you'll just get refunds on any sats that don't start. Hope I'm wrong though as the main event appears to have a decent structure. And just 1x online final 2 days before a 2 day event? Not exactly encouraging those outside of the town to get involved or to pre-book hotels etc. Why they don't just do a standard (generic) steps system where you can use the tokens/seats to buy into whatever live event you desire would be so much better. Good luck guys/girls, hopefully get 1 of you up one more step at least. [/rant] ;)

Re: WSOP.com Season opener - Rendezvous Casino Brighton Feb.2/3 £220 buy in Not sure, can't see him travelling all the way down from Scot for a seat only, unless he's helping to get the game started. Might be someone else, Shogun is that you? Finally got a Step 1 started, just the two of us, had to beat the guy 7 times in a row due to his rebuys, crazy stuff. Already reg'd in the next $1.10, if no-one else joins feel free to step in at the last moment and we can play it as a freezeout for value.

Re: WSOP.com Season opener - Rendezvous Casino Brighton Feb.2/3 £220 buy in well done Al. I played really badly and found it difficult playing against you and Bart, cos I don't like taking your chips. Yep bonkers I know! Hoping to get back into another $7 against strangers, when I can be mean and aggressive :D

Re: WSOP.com Season opener - Rendezvous Casino Brighton Feb.2/3 £220 buy in I think I cocked up, played a 2nd Step 1, beat the guy heads up 3 times in a row again and picked up the $7T as already had step 2 seat. His game wouldn't have started anyway without me, but on reflection I should've just let him win, lose the $1.10 and at least we would've got step 2 started. Doh :wall

Received an email from wsop support team advising me that playing in a satellite after having already won a seat to the same step is strictly forbidden by their terms & conditions. Threatened with confiscation of funds and closure of account. Obviously wasn't aware, have written a reply apologising, will comply in future however also pointed out a few home truths to them. Last time I support them in promoting an event that they don't even adequately promote themselves and sitting around for hours waiting for their games to start/only to be cancelled. If you're not sure what I'm on about, try googling the event or "lci poker tour 2013" and good luck trying to find the seasons schedule. Maybe they should look at how expertly the Grosvenor & Genting tours/festivals (for example) are run. Will edit in the full text of email later so members are aware of these terms that the software isn't good enough to sort out itself.

Whilst double checking their t&c's, found this which members with a wsop account might also want to bear in mind:

Should you fail to use your account for six months your account will be considered a "dormant account". The six-month period will run from the date of your last login to your account. In the case of a dormant account, the Company will levy a monthly administration fee at a rate of 10% of the balance in the account on the date that it became dormant. The administration fee shall be deducted from the dormant account commencing from the last day of the sixth month in which the account is inactive and on the last day of every month thereafter, until the balance of the account has reached zero. In the event that you login to your account during the ten-month period during which the administration fee is levied, the Company will cease to levy the administration fee but shall not be obligated to return to you any monies already deducted from the account at such time.
Not uncommon these days but always hidden away in the fine print.

Re: WSOP.com Season opener - Rendezvous Casino Brighton Feb.2/3 £220 buy in I agree these games are both poorly advertised and badly managed. I'm in the step 2 game due to run tonight at 7.15pm. It's still showing as announced and nobody else can currently register, therefore only 3 people are in it at the moment and it needs a minimum of 4 runners. How can people get in the game if they dont allow registration till the last minute. Seems crazy to me. I really hope this runs. I don't want the $7 back, I want to be able to play the game!

Re: WSOP.com Season opener - Rendezvous Casino Brighton Feb.2/3 £220 buy in well done Bart. Yep it was a pretty sick last hand. I was sure my trip 2s were winning and didn't bargain for you having the other 2 with a better kicker. Oh well I'll have another attempt when i get a chance.

Re: WSOP.com Season opener - Rendezvous Casino Brighton Feb.2/3 £220 buy in these sats are proving to be very frustrating. I've regged numerous times, only for them to be cancelled due to lack of numbers. I finally get a game tonight and find out one of the people on my table lives in Italy and the other one in Devon. Why oh why do they reg for these games if they have no intention of coming to the live event if they win a seat. Soooo frustrating for the rest of us, who really do want to go and play. Should have gone to bed an hour ago, needless to say I lost this one, again :(
