1.20 Lingfield Billy Red has dropped to a very good looking mark 3lb below last winning mark, not the best drawn given his running style but was ridden slightly more patiently last time out when shaping much better so of obvious interest around here. Desert Strike shaped much better on penultimate start but turned out quickly and soundly beaten last time out and again turned out quickly again one to tread carefully with at present. Picansort caught the eye last time out returning from a break, but is becoming hard to win with and looks one to avoid at short prices. Welease Bwian is another that is becoming frustrating and hard to win with, unlikely to get soft lead required here today and draw not been kind this time round. For me Speightowns Kid is the most interesting, he won off a 5lb lower mark on penultimate start before being caught wide and never travelling but did stay on well suggesting he remains in good form and on a workable mark. Much better drawn today and should go well. 2pt win Speightowns Kid 4/1 hills 3.15 Wolverhampton Knowe Head has attracted plenty of money on recent starts and shaped much better last time out in an Amateur handicap, got buzzed up in first time visor but was always well held by the winner, visor kept on and now reliant on him settling better. Reflect has gone the wrong way since winning a 3yr old maiden, only one run on AW and soundly beaten so very much has something to prove at present. Strike Force should enjoy this return to a much shorter trip but looks plenty high enough in the weights at present. The Mongoose took a lot longer than I expected to get the win on the board having seen him at Windsor last year, he was a big imposing sort that looked to have plenty of potential. Finally got the win in a weak maiden over 7f last time out, back up in trip and also weights back into a handicap but remains well treated based on placed efforts over further earlier in the year. 4pt win The Mongoose 13/8 vc

Was 2nd on the AW off a mark of 85 before, and runs off 75 today, now running for Dandy Nicholls, and i also find it interesting they have booked all weather specialist jockey, Graham Gibbons, to take the ride. The Arab owner has 3 horses in the race, one of them the favourite Parisian Pyramid, but i have been told a big run is expected from Summerinthecity today, and i may do a R/F also between the two. Gibbons has won on 3 of his last 9 rides for Dandy aswell.
