12.50 Southwell Maltease Ah proved she handled the fibresand last time out when making all from a wide draw. This race looks stronger and unlikely to get such an easy time out in front this time round and up 6lb for that effort and always struggled off similar marks but could improve on this surface. Katys Secret is an interesting runner returned to this surface. Went a little quiet over the summer and returned from break in seemingly similar mood but showed much more on second start of campaign in a claimer over 7f at Lingfield in a race like many around there at moment dominated by prominent runners (except the 2^nd who ran a very good race again next time out). The return to this 6f trip defenetily in her favour given all 4 of her wins have come at this trip she has also won twice around here from 5 runs and on the pick of her form including a claiming win in December last year make her look well treated off this mark with decent apprentice taking off a handy 5lb aswell stall 10 proving not so negative around here and if building on latest run she should go well at a decent price. 2pt win Katys Secret 8/1 pp

One thing that caught my eye, it has never run off this low of a mark, 55. All of it's best runs have come at Southwell, has been 2nd here off marks of 58 and 60, so the handicapper has given it every chance to get it's maiden success. Silvestre De Sousa takes the ride, again a big plus, and it has to go close off this weight for me.
