Flat Racing - Friday 9th November

16:20 Wolverhampton
I'm going to give a chance to one of the 3 year olds in this race by siding with the top weight
For Shia and Lula
. This horse is by no means the most consistent and has only won once and placed once from 12 runs. The win came over today's course and distance in his first race in Britain and 3rd race of his career. He was then sent handicapping off a mark of 76 and with just one second placed finish since the win (off a mark of 72 - again over today's CD) he has dropped down to a mark of 70 today for the first time. He gave a better showing last time out at Lingfield over the minimum trip off a mark of 70 where he was hampered when making some headway and although he finished 6/10, he was less than 3 lengths off the winner despite being a bit one paced after being hampered. Matthew Lawson also takes off a handy 3lbs tonight which definetly gives him a shout in my opinion. He's drawn in stall 8 which isn't ideal but I wouldn't say the draw is enough to rule out his chances in this race.
1 pt E/W For Shia and Lula @ 11/1 (VCBet - BOG)

Re: Flat Racing - Friday 9th November 6.50 Wolverhampton - 1pt win Graceful Act @ 14/1 (Bet365) Doesn't look completely useless and I reckon she's been shouting out for a step back to a mile on her recent turf exploits over 1m2f. She can race quite freely and has come there with every chance before fading. She's also regularly partnered by a lady rider who, with all due respect, is not as strong as Dale Swift who takes over today. Under professional riders her record isn't bad (beaten 1/2l under Swift on 1 of his 2 starts - the other being after a lengthy absence) and she can go well in this weak affair. She's shown some ability on the all-weather before so that's another plus and I reckon she won't be too far away this evening at a nice price.
