Now that the jumps is back it would be rude not to have a go at making one of these and try and make it a profitable season. Prefer the jumps from an entertainment point of view and I prefer antepost betting with the jumps aswel, mainly leading upto the Cheltenham Festival! 3.30 Aintree - Gauvain at 7/1 (Ladbrokes) Goes well fresh, beat Somersby over roughly this trip during Autumn last year, probably doesn't have the greatest recent form but ran in some tough races last season. Changed stable and I think it is handicapped fair for this race, ground and trip fine. Should be a very good race, favourite looks dangerous and think Wishful Thinking will run a big race from top weight.

Re: Dan's Jumps Diary Sorry didn't explain my staking in the first post, I'm basically just going 1pt win on every selection. Keeping it simple, no each ways just simply win bets, 1pt on. Not the best of starts there with Gauvain but found a few I like for the weekend already. Jnwine.com Champion Chase - Quito De La Rogue at 3/1 (Ladbrokes) Should be favourite imo, actually won this race last year fresh, beating Sizing Europe who for me is vulnerable over 3m despite impressiving lto in its first run of the season. Quito De La Rogue will thrive off the softer surface here I think and 3m is its best trip, was last seen when it finished 3rd in the Lexus Chase, won by Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Synchronised. Ladbrokes Chase - Cristal Bonus at 2/1 (Ladbrokes) Just can't take Bog Warrior at the same odds after finishing last year so badly when it was smashed by 66l by Flemenstar at Naas. Cristal Bonus loves running on soft ground and this trip and I would have Nicholls Horse as favourite here, especially after its impressive run in its last race of last season finishing 7l off Menorah at Aintree in a G1.
