*Caulfields Venture - Wincanton 4:20* Still very lightly raced, and now a mark of 105 is very leniant if it can put it's best foot forward. Was an impressive 4th of 14 @ 50/1 at Ascot last December behind Water Garden, and a reproduction of that run would definately see it go close in this field. James Banks takes off another 7 pounds to make the job easier, and when it was pulled up when last seen it was backed off the boards. *0.5 Points e/w @ 14/1 Ladbrokes BOG*

Re: Jump Racing Thursday 18th of October 4.50 Wincanton - 1pt win Shallow Bay @ 20/1 (Bet365) David Pipe's ex-flat runner hasn't got a particularly good strike rate but I get the impression that two miles is all he really wants over hurdles and his career runs over this trip haven't been too bad at all. They read 2227432 with the 7th coming in a hot race at Cheltenham and a couple of others coming after a break. I don't think he'd want it to turn into a total slog either so the ground here is probably just about okay. His run two starts back was good off level weights when a 4l 2nd to a subsequent winner off 116. My selection runs off 106 today. He got outstayed the two runs either side of that I fancy over further and he gets 7lbs taken off his back this afternoon also. The yard's last few runners have gone very well and this one's only win came in this month back in 2010. He shaped well in blinkers last time and I fancy him to outrun his price today back down in trip.
