3.45 Goodwood My Kingdom 1pt win @ 14/1 Boylesports Another horse I have backed a couple of times already this season. He recently switched yards and joined Stuart Williams but has ran 2 poor races with a good effort at Doncaster in between. I think he can be excused his first run for the yard at Newmarket but showed much more over 6f at Doncaster on his next start. He was slightly hampered in the final furlong and could have finished much closer than he did but this was a good effort. Last time out at Warwick I don’t think he appreciated the first time hood, as he tended to hang left when making his effort. They have dispensed with the hood today but the keep the usual tongue-tie. He actually suffered for his consistency earlier in the year when trained by Ian Williams by going up 10lbs for finishing placed several times but is now slowly coming down in the weights again. He races here off 82 which is 4lbs lower than his highest ever winning mark and he did finish 2^nd 3 times earlier in the season from 82 or higher. This will only be his 4^th run for the yard but if he can build on his Doncaster run a couple of outings ago, then he should be able to go close here at a track he goes well at. Two of his career wins have come at Goodwood but his overall record here reads 7-2-1-10-1-2. Ground tomorrow won’t be an issue and hopefully the race will be run to suit with several front-runners in opposition. He is a horse that likes plenty of cover and that likes to be held up off a fast pace. Ideally I would like to see some sort of money for him coming from this yard but he should run a good race if showing his best form.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 14th *R Woody - Goodwood 3:45* Prodigality sure to be popular which gives others a bit of value. This horse is a two-time course and distance winner and with Buick on board, and now back in the hands of Robert Cowell instead of Dean Ivory, it is bound to improve, as Cowell is known to be brilliant at improving handicappers. It is 2 from 3 at this track, will go on soft ground, and went close the last time Buick rode it. Must have a chance. *0.5 Points e/w @ 10/1 Boylesports BOG*
