Apologies for the hugely uninspiring thread title. I'm working on a "system" for the English leagues, but its a mile off being finished so its a glory hunt not a system for now. Added to this, I'm not a massive fan betting my hard earned on pure system-based selections, so I like to throw in a bit of subjective thinking too. This obviously allows for greater flexibility which can hardly hurt the process. As the title suggests, all picks will be home or away wins for the English football leagues, from the Premier League down to the Conference. Simply put, I create ratings for each team based on performances in their last 10 matches (5 home, 5 away), using a few select variables from the football-data results spreadsheets. Having produced a set of selections based on this, I may remove the odd one if factors such as team news, managerial situation, whether the game is a local derby, etc, dictate that it may be a risky selection. A range of bookmakers will be used to obtain best price possible. Starting bank £100.
