Flat Racing 24th Sept

4.20 Kempton Good race for a Monday, several likely to sit prominently so should be run at an honest tempo. Intransigent was ridden much more prominently last time out on the AW on penultimate start and won some what cosy, ridden with more restraint back on turf last time and got going too late but finished well into 2nd off a 2lb higher mark full 8lb higher back on the AW this time round in what looks a hot little race and clearly not completely straightforward. Priceless Jewel has something to prove returned to the AW having seemingly gone off the boil on turf after winning on seasonal reappearance over CD off a 9lb lower mark and relying on return to polytrack for a resurgence. Poole Harbour has a little to prove after recent efforts on turf in hot handicaps, should find this easier but probably has little in hand from the handicapper at present. Dark Castle might be worth a second chance having gone close last time out over CD 5 days ago. Didn’t help his cause that day failing to settle in a race where they didn’t go hard, should find things a bit quicker upfront today and clearly remains on a workable mark given that effort last time out, and although small field nicely drawn in 2 to sit behind the leaders hopefully. 2pt win Dark Castle 3/1 lads 5.20 Kempton Final Drive failed to back up a recent better effort last time out over CD and despite being on a dangerous mark (albeit 2lb higher today) his losing run is mounting up and becoming untrustworthy at present. Titan Triumph is a Lingfield specialist and saves his best for there these days. Golden Tempest had a race run to suit in a big way last time out at Sandown, only 2lb higher today and remains on a good mark but looks unlikely to get a race run to suit here with no obvious front runner. Mahadee used to be a useful performer on this surface but is another that needs a decently run race, easily forgive latest run having been hampered but even so this mark reflects his previous exploits and not the level he is performing to at the moment. Copperwood may get a soft lead in this having been known to make the running before but has always struggled from a mark anywhere near this one so opposable at present. Sim Sala Bim is lightly raced and clearly had problems market is the only clue to what this one is capable of at present. Cruiser return to some sort of form last time out in a race not ran in his favour that day with the finishers doing best that day, this race may play into his hands with a lack of pace likely it could pay to race handily. Only 2lb above last winning mark over CD in May and well drawn here. 2pt win Cruiser 4/1 pp

Re: Flat Racing 24th Sept *Shamir - Kempton 5:50* Again i like to back a horse with good polytrack form, and this horse has 3 course wins here, all over course and distance. It's last win was here off a mark of 85, and runs off 83 tomorrow, so i well treated now, and also drops down in grade from Class 2 to a much easier Class 4 race. Should go well with Crowley on board. *1 Point WIN @ 11/1 Bet365 BOG*
