Spey Song - Wolverhampton 9-00 The booking of Barzelona really catches the eye here for me. A reproduction of its Newmarket run two starts back would make 14-1 look ridiculous tomorrow. Is still a maiden, but is off a nice handicap mark with a top jockey- 0.5 Points e-w @ 14/1 Bet365 BOG

Re: BBOTD Friday 21st of September 14.05 Brighton: Lutine Charlie @ 9/2 VC Excellent start for new connections at Epsom one week ago when he produced an eye-catching finish. He raced in rear many lengths off the pace but gained an awful lot of ground in the closing stages and probably would have even won if the race would have been just one hundred meter longer or so. That was quite an astonishing performance and it's fair to assume that the horse must be really primed at the moment. He had a little break after he won a Handicap at Wolverhampton still for his old connections in July and made at Epsom this return to track. I think the step up in trip back to 1m will surly suit and his last winning form came over 1m as well, at Lingfield on fast ground last year. He's 2lb below this mark at the moment, so he didn't get up in the mark for his recent effort which came off 60. Firm ground will definitely suit tomorrow and the booking of Catherine Gannon looks significant as Pat Eddery started to use her a bit this season, four times so far which led into one win and three places. Eddery also is quite successful over the years here at Brighton so everything is pointing out that Lutine Charlie will run a big race tomorrow.
