Re: Flat Racing Thursday 30th August 21.20 - Kempton - Golden Tempest @ 7/1 Bet365 Eve Johnson Houghton's runner Golden Tempest hit some form at this time last year and i'm hoping the C&D winner can come good after a couple of fair efforts recently. The 4yo's last victory came in a similar race last August, off of a mark of 82 and coming back to the AW for only the 2nd time since (other run came on seasonal return in class 2 handicap) i think he will go well, particularly running off 3lb lower than that winning mark. His mark has tumbled after some poor efforts on turf this season although his 2 recent runs have been promising, with a 2nd at Sandown at the start of the month, and a respectable 3L, 7th place 7 days later at Newmarket. He has a great record on the all weather, with 6 runs on the surface, resulting in 2 wins, one 2nd and one 3rd. Good jockey booked in Jimmy Fortune, he has a decent record for the yard, and with a nice low draw he is worth a go at this price imo.
