4.00 Newcastle Quick Bite 1pt win @ 8/1 Bet365 Loukoumi is the very short priced favourite here after looking unlucky not to land a gamble last time out at Carlisle. That was however a weaker contest than this one and he looks far too short for my liking. The one I fancy to win this is Quick Bite who runs for Hugo Palmer. The trainer isn't in the best of form at the moment but he has a 50% strike rate at the track with 2 winners from just 4 runners. This horse's 2 career wins have both come at this track with one of them coming over CD. I think he has had valid excuses every run this season and the first time blinkers might just perk him up and help him settle as he has tended to take a keen hold this season. Robert Winston is 1 from 1 on this horse with that win coming over CD last year. The more rain the better for him as his wins came on heavy ground and soft ground.
