Re: Flat Racing Thursday 9th of August 3.10 Haydock 4/10pts Touch Gold to win - 2/1 with Bet365 I really like the chance of Cecil's runner here and think this price is a little bigger than it should be. There are question marks over all of these runners whether it is getting the distance, being in good enough shape, punching above their weight etc. Touch Gold ticks more boxes than most and, even though he is stepping up in class here, I think he in better form than any opponents. He has progressed brilliantly over the last couple of months since winning a maiden and the win over 9 furlongs last time out is good to see when coming to this track. That run last time out was very comfortable and leads me to believe that he will handle the step up in opposition. With recent good wins behind him, a trainer in good enough form and proven results over the trip I expect him to step up to the mark here and win this contest.
