You've probably seen one of these before. They normally last a day or so and then fall by the wayside. This time though, it'll last. Recently I've got a bit erratic with my punting. No losses, but no system either. So I want to create a diary here, to record just how successful/unsuccessful I am over a week-to-week basis. I've decided I'm going to hit things based a little more on gut instinct rather than stats. Sure, stats are important, and will almost certainly ratify any bet that I place. I focus on football and tennis. Those are my areas of "expertise". So they will make up the majority of my bets. I use two bookmakers, panbet and 188bet. They are great sites for handicappers like myself and offer plenty of scope. I'll hold 10 points in each bookie at the start of the week and the goal, on a Sunday night, is to withdraw anything more than 10pts back to Atko towers, to be spent on the delectable Mrs Atko, no doubt. This is going to be a test of discipline, because I want to record every bet here and not stray from the system. Generally, I'll only bet 2pts maximum on a selection. They will be a NAP, so to speak. The rest will be 1pt. I hope to add little insights into my betting world from time to time as well, to keep this interesting. Here we go :ok

Anderson 6-4, 6-4 (-1pt) A lot of bets in French Ligue 2, which is one of my most loved leagues, yet it is bloody tough. Monaco, the stand-out team, are my NAP today. I'm wary of how good they'll be away from home but the price is ridiculous considering the quality. I have to hit them. The value is there. I won't regret it even if it loses, because it ticks all the boxes for me.
