True South Classic

Nobody might be interested as it being played the same weekend as the Open, but this does'nt mean we should ignore it,as it could give us some great betting Oppertunities. This a below average field, and is filled with players were their seasons and plagued by missed cuts,so form probably goes out the window,as very few if any have any real form of any note. Brendan de Jonge heads the betting as he as managed a 10th in the Sony and a 8th in the Travellers, rank 37th in the fed ex points rankings and 120th in the world rankings, there probably wont be a weaker favourite in golf this season. Last Winners C.Kirk, you can back him at 33s DJ Trahan whos an excellent iron player, finished 9th last year and 3rd in 2010,is 110/1 on Betfair.

Re: True South Classic *Chris Stroud e/w @ 50/1 Bet365* Nice price for this guy in such a weak field in my opinion. He has had some good finished this year, 5th in the Mayakoba, 9th in the Honda Classic, 13th in the Sony Open, 12th in Phoenix, 13th in the Crowne Plaza, 15th in the Arnold Palmer. Having a very consistent year. There are not too many in this field with the same 2012 merits, so is worth a bet at the price. *Joe Durant e/w @ 100/1 Coral* This guy has a decent profile. He has won 4 events on tour. He has earned nearly 14 million dollars in his career, and has an abundance of experience. He has not had the best year, but he did catch the eye where he was 3rd in the Byron Nelson, if he can play anywhere near that golf this weekend, he will have a big chance. *Arjun Atwal e/w @ 150/1 Ladbrokes* Again, looks a rather big price for a golfer that has won on tour before in such a weak field, and signs that he was playing better than normal over the past while too. He is a very good player from 100 yards in, he can be dodgy off the tee but if he gets the driver going this weekend, he has a live chance. He has had a terrible year, but played well in the Fedex St Jude of late, and if he can win one, he won't find a weaker event.
