Ortensia will be first up of the Australian duo when she tackles the 1000m Kings Stand stakes. Australian horses have won 5 of the last 10 editions of the race so history is in the 6 year olds favour. Ortensia is 3 wins from 3 starts for trainer Paul Messara, her most recent victory was a barnstorming win in the G1 Al Quoz Sprint in Dubai. Her usual get back and run on race style will be altered slightly according to Messara, who is fearful of the mare getting too far back in the run.
