Big races at Eagle Farm

Big races will be held in Eagle Farm as talented gallopers will try to take out the Group 1 AAMI STRADBROKE HANDICAP. EAGLE FARM Possible showers at Eagle Farm on Saturday for the STRADBROKE HANDICAP, and there will be 90% chances of rain. The $1000000 AAMI STRADBROKE HANDICAP (1400 METRES) Group 1 race has a field limit of 18 plus 5 emergencies. Early favourite is Sea Sire who's $4.50 in the betting while Buffering and Tiger Tees shared the $7.50 second favourite. Sea Siren a filly by Fasnet Rock and trained by John O'Shea from Randwick won 2 Group 1 in Queensland. This talented filly was the winner of the BTC CUP and the recent Doomben 10,000. Sea Siren has 5 wins and 2 placings from her 7 and only starts to date and will be ridden by Jim Cassidy. BELMONT Belmont will be mostly sunny and there will be 80% chances of rain for Saturday. In Belmont race 7 is where the Group 3 BELMONT SPRINT (1400 METRES). The race will have 13 runners in it. Fred Kersly trained horse; Grand Nirvana will try to take out the Belmont Sprint for the 3rd time. Grand Nirvana won the cup twice back to back in 2010 and 2011. The Biggest treat to Grand Nirvana is Luckygray, the 4 year old gelding trained by Gino Poletti from Ascot who has 8 wins and 1 placing from his 11 starts to date. Luckygray was the winner of the Roma Cup at Belmont. FLEMINGTON Race 5 at Flemington is a listed race with 12 runners racing to take out the A.R. CRESWICK STAKES (1200 METRES). This particular race is for 3 years old in set weights plus penalties and there will be no allowances for apprentices. Zamora and Lady Melksham will be the 2 battling for the win. ROSEHILL Rosehill Gardens will have a 123 total numbers of staters for Saturday and the rail is out by 6 metres the entire circuit. In race 6 is the BIG SPORTS BREAKFAST JUNE STAKES (1100 METRES) Listed race for three years old and upwards with a field limit of 14 plus 4 emergencies. Zaratone has a chance here being place in the inside barrier, this Zariz gelding has 15 wins and 3 placing from his 39 starts to date and will be ridden Richard Bensley.
