chester chester chester -the alternate thread :(

Recommended Posts

Dunno bout all you seasoned form book students.......but i have decided to take a sabitical from the flat, most meetings on the flat recently have produced results which have left me sratching my head and somewhat purplexed, the one common denominator - VERY HEAVY GROUND in APRIL/MAY!!!! While ever the rain keeps falling, the bookies will be laughing all the way to the bank and the punters will get skint:(. Tonite i am gonna get on the auld prayer mat and make an impassioned plea to the CURRENT BUN and ask him to make a sustained appearence for the next 4 months, hopefully my masterplan will come to fruition and we can have GOOD/FIRM going on the flat again:hope

Re: chester chester chester -the alternate thread :( Hi Bags, i think the most important thing at Chester was the draw. Those drawn low, especially in the sprints, cleaned up over the few days it was on. I do agree that the heavy ground can be a nightmare for some punters, but for a lot of others it can be a blessing, as only a limited amount of horses go on heavy ground. I had Ile De Re backed the other day @ 14/1, simply for the face that he was a French bred horse having it's first run for McCain, French bred's normally like give in the ground. Bookies must have cleaned up this week, but i feel there was value out there for the punters.
