Sawyer Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Hi fellas! Let's talk/discuss about Horse Racing Stake Strategies. You know there's too many stake strategies such as Level Staking, Flat Stake, Maria's Stake Strategy etc.. In my Glory Hunt Thread, I'm using this stake strategy, http://forum.punterslounge.com/threads/126280-Stable-Master-s-Glory-Hunt-for-Alfa-Romeo-Giulietta!/page2 Stake Strategy 1: (Current Stake Strategy) If odds are below 4, laying to win %3 If odds are between 4.00-5.99, lay to win %2 If odds are between 6.00-7.99, lay to win %1.5 If odds are between 8.0-9.99, lay to win %1.25 No play if odds are above 9.99! I'm working on a different stake strategy. Will be happy to hear your opinions.. New Stake Strategy (Stake Strategy 2) Odds 2.00-2.99 Stake 40/1 *To win %2.500 If odds are 2.50, Risk is %3.75 Odds 3.00-3.99 Stake 50/1 *To win %2.000 If odds are 3.50, Risk is %5.00 Odds 4.00-4.99 Stake 55/1 *To win %1.818 If odds are 4.50, Risk is %6.36 Odds 5.00-5.99 Stake 60/1 *To win %1.666 If odds are 5.50, Risk is %7.50 Odds 6.00-6.99 Stake 65/1 *To win %1.538 If odds are 6.50, Risk is %8.46 Odds 7.00-7.99 Stake 70/1 *To win %1.428 If odds are 7.50, Risk is %9.28 Odds 8.00-8.99 Stake 75/1 *To win %1.333 If odds are 8.50, Risk is %9.99 Odds 9.00-9.99 Stake 80/1 *To win %1.250 If odds are 9.50, Risk is %10.62 That's it! Usually I don't lay above 8 often. Here's my lay odds.. Had 23 Lays so far.. My Lay odds 3.55 6.2 6.4 7.97 5.1 4.2 4.2 2.5 7.8 7.8 8.0 4.6 4.7 6.8 8.4 7.4 8.42 7.4 3.9 5.3 9.8 8.6 4.3 I'll be happy if you share your opinions about these 2 stake strategies. What stake strategy you use? Flat, Maria? Well, I like Flat too but I don't want to risk same amount on a 3.50 horse and 6.80 horse. 3.50 horse must win more often, right? So why bet same amounts? All opinions/comments are welcome. Thank you! :) Quote
jayalexander Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Re: Horse Racing Stake Strategies I use flat staking. I love winning money, but hate losing it more and I guess it stems from that! I know I'd make much more if I adopted a different strategy but I always fear that I might hit a long losing run that wipes me out and pisses me off. My stakes haven't changed an awful lot from when I started, to be honest. There are ocassionally times when I dutch two to win a similar amount, but this is not very often. I guess my organisational skills could do with improving a bit. Quote
