Only the Class dropping Needwood Ridge was too good that day. That rivals finished 3rd to City Legend and Avonrose with Viva Ronaldo back in 4th. The selection was drawn in stall 9 that day with the winner being better in stall 2. Monsieur Pontaven makies his third career start at the track. He also raced here two runs ago but was only 7th of 11 by 15 1/2 lengths but was drawn widest in stall 11. His course debut was from stall 3 and he won by 2 3/4 lengths. He is drawn in stall 3 today. The two runs prior to those runs was at 1m for 10th of 12 by 8 lengths in November. 1m141y was next for only 9th of 10 by 5 1/2 lengths. He made his return from summer break at 7f last October for 5th of 13 by 5 1/4 lengths. His last two runs had been in Conditions Stakes at Kempton for 3rd of 9 by 1 length and 5th of 7 by 2 3/4 lengths. His placed effort was behind The Rectifier and Clockmaker a month ago. His last run two weeks ago was behind Palace Moon, Elna Bright, Nazreef, and Tevez. He's been facing much touhger opponents than what he has in this race and I think he's the one they need to beat.[/TD] [/TR] [/TABLE]
