morlspin
We are Czech-raising our game! The Unibet Open is proud to announce that we will be kicking off the 2012 season in one of our favourite poker destinations, Prague. We had such a good time in Prague in 2009 and 2010 that after a one year hiatus the Unibet Open will be returning to Prague and taking over the luxurious Hilton hotel for four days this February. The tournament will take place in the Atrium Casino located inside the Hilton – this is comfort at its finest, with no need to leave the building at all if you don’t want to. If you do feel like leaving the confines of the Hilton, though, the central location means that all that Prague has to offer is just a short walk or taxi ride away. Countless bars and clubs await the visitor to the ancient city of Prague – with 300 drinking establishments within two square miles, the Zizkov neighbourhood boasts the highest concentration of bars in Europe. The local beers are world-famous, and the famously low prices make them taste even better. Should you bust out of the tournament too early to start drinking, you won’t be stuck for something to do – Prague is a fantastic tourist destination absolutely heaving with attractions. From a stroll across the romantic Charles Bridge to the vast sprawl of Prague Castle perched above the city, from the Old Town Square with its mysterious astrological clock to a thrill-packed circuit of the bobsleigh track – you certainly won’t find yourself bored. Last year Henri Ojala won €157,000 for taking the top spot and the year before that it was Fuat Can who claimed the title and the €167,500 first place money. This year it could be you joining the exclusive club of Unibet Open winners in Prague.
