1.40 Lingfield Not a race worth much time very weak affair and there is a lack of pace with no obvious front runner but hopefully something will take them on at a reasonable pace as my selection will need a reasonable gallop. Laconicos is yet to win on the flat after 37 starts and has gone close several times but doesnt always look the best in attitude department in a finish and percentage cal is to oppose despite a better effort last time out. Resplendant Alpha has dropped a hell of a long way in the weights and with a yard that can get wins out of these old boys and has got a bit closer last twice but probably still needs to find something more to take this. Avon Supreme has found some level of form recently and would perhaps only need to repeat latest effort to win this but had a few chances to and finds himself 2lb higher again today but claimer does claim 3lb off his back. Red Flash suddenly improved out of knowhere first time up for this yard last time out has to build on that off a 1lb higher mark but that wasnt much of a race and could find one or two of these slightly stronger in a finish. For me Kai Mook holds a solid chance, she has ran a few eye catching races none more so than last time out when finishing with some force at Kempton last time out, runs off the same mark today but with a 5lb claimer taking off some weight and her only win to date has come over this course and her run style is well suited to this course and should give her running once more. 1pt e/w Kai Mook 10/1 bet365 5.50 Wolverhampton Interesting handicap with plenty of recent form to go on. La Estrella is better known for his exploits at Southwell but makes another rare appearance on polytrack after a decent run back in a handicap over 2miles at Kempton last time out but probably not the best handicapped on the polytrack. Admirable Duque was an impressive winner last time out but got rather an easy time of things turning in and an 8lb rise looks excessive and also not always convinced over this longer trip. Sand Skier has been consistent recently but has continually found 1 or 2 too good and creeping back up the weights and needs to prove stamina for this trip. Zamina hasnt been beaten far in small field staying events but is another that has to prove stamina in a stronger looking field. Appeal improved dramatically for the switch to handicaps and step up in trip, further step up in trip today is sure to bring more improvement, was made to work a little hard next time out off same mark but ultimately won well enough and a 7lb rise isnt excessive but unusual for a Prescott handicap job has had 40days off the track which suggest there has been a problem and any weakness Priceless Art may well be able to pick up the pieces. He made into a useful hurdler but had previously been a very useful bumper horse winning 4 NHF including 2 on the fibresand, made amends for first disappointment in a flat maiden last time out when ridden more agressively and making use of his stamina over 1m3f and should relish this step up to 2miles off a handicap mark of 75 could prove well treated having been given a rating of 115 over hurdles and comfortably held Nibani last time out who ran upto his mark again next time out of 72. 2pt win Priceless Art 4/1 pp 7.20 Wolverhampton Straversjoy gets a 3lb turn around in the weights with Jamarjo and despite the latter being less exposed and clearly thriving at the moment he got first run that day and another 5lb higher today in a stronger race. Straversjoy knows how to win around here with 5 CD wins and his latest came off the back of a break and should come on for the run up 2lb for that effort but has won off a 1lb lower mark and should still be competitive off this sort of mark. 2pt win Straversjoy 7/2 bet365

Re: Flat Racing 28th Dec 3.45 Lingfield Eager To Bow 1.5pts e/w 7/1 William Hill Backed this one last time out where he finished a fast finishing 4th. Typically I backed the horse each way and he just finished out of the places. Think he has an even better chance in this race as he is better drawn and the form from his last race worked out well. Chokidar won well next time out and Forks finished placed off a 6lb higher mark. Eager to Bow was probably left with too much to do last time out as he was settled right out the back. He finished well enough but just couldn't get to the leaders. He is drawn in 6 tomorrow which is a much better draw so he should be able to get a good race position on the inside and race much closer up with the pace. Hopefully when the pace quickens he will better positioned to make his move. If anywhere near the front turning for home, I fully expect this horse to go very close granted he gets a clear run. Jim Crowley rides as well as anyone on the all weather and has rode the horse on his last 2 starts over CD. Hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky!
