witchita44 Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 :welcomeTwo winners at 9/2 & 2/1 yesterday meant a slight loss overall, though Knockfierna would have won but for running out (as stated, surprised jockey didn't make more use early on;the horse wasn't enjoying being held up). Notes on running: Trifolium looks worth a step up in class & trip (looks a chaser); Faramore can defy a penalty in 0-100 H'caps: Murchu/Changing Times look open to plenty of improvement; as stated,I'll be amazed if Bog Warrior will be running over two miles again. Anyway, on to today's racing and Limerick's meeting is very poor;so I'll be concentrating on Leopardstown. 12.25 - CHILL (ew). 1.55 - Hard to weigh up; DYLAN ROSS & SOUS LES CIEUX need further and a strong gallop, while CASH & GO/MONKSLAND are taking a big step up in class. 2.30 - DARE TO DOUBT is a horse I had in mind for this race for the last 6 weeks;so very disappointed not running (finished 5l in front of SOME PRESENT last time so will be annoyed if that horse wins!). REIZOVIC needs a longer trip, so I'm plumping for LASTOFTHELEADERS who still appears very well handicapped after a demolition job last time out.He represents the best bet of the day. 3.05 is ultra-competitive. PRINCE DE BEAUCHENE would have been a lot closer last time but for clouting & losing iron 2 out. He will strip fitter for that first run of season, but has a lot of weight to give away here. GROODY HILL is a horse I noted seasons ago as a novice hurdler. It's taken time to find his niche, and he may have not stopped improving yet, and RIVAGE D'OR will appreciate this longer trip. Happy punting, from Hunchedupsam. Quote
