Salerosa - 2.30 Sth (0.5ew 14-1 BET365 BOG) Course specialist who was racing off 82 this time last year but has now dropped to 70 despite only having raced seven times in 2011 and making the frame in sellers/claimers at Southwell in last two outings. She should be suited by the likely stronger pace in this race. Anyhow, at 14-1 she seems a decent each-way punt with Dale Swift on board. (Incidentally, the Duffield/Swift combination also team up with Sharp Shoes in the 12.30, so they might be worth a small e/w double.)

Re: BBOTD - Thurs 22nd December H2.40 Mallusk 1pt Win 6/1 Ladbrokes I've just missed the 7/1 whilst typing this and it was 8/1 just a few minutes before that which is encouraging since this horse will be making its seasonal debut. It has run well fresh before (won on its reappearance in December last year) and will appreciate the ground and trip. The trainer has been in cracking form and I think the horses runs after that win were probably on ground that was too lively so any further rain would improve its chances in my opinion. Lightly raced and open to improvement against some more exposed horses, I think this looks to have every chance.
