Re: Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) - Live Tour Dates 2012 Have a nice bad beat story --think best of my live... event start 7,30 went out home early at 4,15 with only 50min drive i decided to buy for wife some gifts in manchester city center... after an hour drive when i should be in place i amde just about 15 miles..as was big traffic on M62 decided to turn on radio an heared that they close M62 in case od accident --i think its not posible to close 4 lines motorway so happy with planty spare time didnt panic... how wrong i was --after next hour and about 25 miles from home i find out that they really did that so i take a 1st exit runing good for a few miles and than all read also close coz of snow and big truck block the roads!! after trying to passed them i slip off the road, some ppl help me back and i knew its too late to go coz was 10 min to start and my sat nav still show a 70min drive... so i catch idea to call someone to unreg. me from the event. made a call to hen--he work cant answer, made call morl---phone off then find number to Mark but lost connection on my mobile!! After few min connection back and made call to Mark--he answer and i asked him to try unreg me from event--lost connection again. 10min leter he phone me and said he unreg me from side event !! dont know how he did that as he have less than 5min to tournament start:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy 30min later back home and very angry can someone tell me how this is posible to close 4lines motorway on friday evning!! For me the person who did should lost the job same day! the road still close now i cant belive how many people lost on it..... thank to Mark i can have hope to get a chance in any other side event og GUKPT...:hope:hope

Re: Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) - Live Tour Dates 2012 The Goliath will run at the same time as the GUKPT main event at Coventry in August (day 1 of main event is day 2 of the goliath). Suspect Goliath seats will be in fairly plentiful supply as per last year, but I am told by Avon that the victorious PL 'C' team from 2011 won a free return in 2012. If you are planning to attend Coventry in August you may be interested in rooms in the De Vere Hotel. I have booked a standard double room for 3 nights Fri-Sun at £50 per night using booking.com, so includes a cancellation option right up to 23rd August. :ok

Event schedule http://www.grosvenorukpokertour.com/en/Goliath/Events-Schedule/ says that there is a day 2(Sat), day 3(Sun) and final day(Mon). However blind structure http://www.grosvenorukpokertour.com/Goliath/Goliath-Blind-Structure/ only has a day 2 and final day built in ??? Wanting to go and play some of the APAT festival events too, so wondering what is what here ?? Anyone know ?

Re: Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT + Goliath) - Live Tour Dates 2012 The days are right, remember railing avon & mark on days 3 & 4 last year. Utilises the Bank holiday Monday. Assume the blind structure just continues where it leaves off on day 3 and/or they stop early (on day 3) when reach final 9 or 10. Afterall there won't be a shortage of chips with anticipated 2,500 starters.

Andy should get together with Slapdash to discuss the mathematics behind booking 10% of some one who's sole aim was to min cash. Was nice though to get a Scottish £100 note of him, couldn't fit it in any of the slot machines Having said that I think his backing changed my approach to the game and I played a lot looser than normal which is why I started day two with a decent stack. Day two was the old card dead story and all I was doing was stealling the blinds once an orbit for the last 3 hours. The pkt 7's were the best hand I had in that time just a pity they never held up. If they had I might have become a card rack after and gone on and won it! Really enjoyed the trip and was great to meet up with Duncan, Helen, Gaz and Graeme again. No pkt aces again which makes it about 70 hrs of decent buy in live play without finding pocket rockets. Any one know what the world record is? oh and in case GaF drops in- I really dont want to know that 70 hours is highly probable and no were near a big enough sample do deduce that some one up there hates me. Every one else gets them all the time:ok

Thats getting close to the end of day one so only had the pleasure of her company for a couple of hours.
