racing post abbreviations please help

Hello just checking racing post form and I found some abbreviation I cannot figure that out in the second row from the left hand side What mean nse or nk, also there some numbers is that distance in furlongs? Thanks

'nse' means nose, 'nk' means neck.. meaning he was beaten by a neck/nose.
