Ffos Las 2.20 Ikorodu Road 0.75pt EW - 14/1 gen I thought this horse will win some big handicap chases last year, but after the heavy fall in the Newbury fog he's been in terrible form. Changed yards, but showed absolutely nothing for the new stable in his last 2 outings. Bit of a shot in the dark, but I think he could bounce back on galloping track like Ffos Las and the soft ground will suit. I hope he's not gone, because he is definitely well handicapped. 3.30 Mr Chippy 2pt win - 11/2 Boyle Ran 2 very good races for Ian Williams when last seen, but has had a setback and returns after a break for the in form Donald McCain stable. If ready I think he could be extremely well handicapped. He jumps well and seems to be the improver in the race. The fav is very poor value for me. He won well lto, but that was a terrible race.

Re: Jump Racing ~ 28th November 2.55 Ffos Las - 1pt e/w Command Marshal @ 25/1 (Bet365) - 1/5 odds Ed De Giles' contender here seems to have been overlooked, but is not a terrible horse over hurdles, and can outrun his price today in my opinion. He has a career best winning mark to overcome, but shaped well last time, following a decent run of form on the flat. He ran quite well on the level which bodes well for his hurdling career for Ed De Giles. He likes to come off a strong pace, as he did at Fontwell when scoring easily off 88, but then met a very well treated rival next time out. He didn't race over hurdles until October - when finding the trip a bit too far. However, he showed more promise last time out in a claiming hurdle off very disadvantageous weights. He was beaten 6l by a horse rated 19lbs superior, and my selection had to give that horse 2lbs. Also, the 2nd horse is rated 3lbs superior, and received 10lbs (helped by that horse's 10lb claiming jockey). However, given that, and the way the race was run, it wasn't a bad effort at all. There should be more pace on here, and the leaders may well come back a bit easier on the testing ground. It's not the greatest race in the world, and I think there is some scope off this mark. The favourite will be tough to beat, but hopefully mine can sneak into the mix.
