2:45 Cheltenham: Jolly Roger 1pt win 10/1 & Bottman 1pt win 10/1 Boylesports Backing two in a five runner race seems a touch odd, yet both seem to be overpriced. Jolly Roger won well at Ludlow only having to be pushed out to win by a comfortable eleven lengths from stablemate Wester Ross. That looked a highly promising chasing debut and he looks the sort that can continue to progress. He also gets a handy weight allowance from his older rivals. Bottman ran well at Cheltenham over hurdles and while he has more to prove than most in the line up, his hurdling form is pretty much on a par with most of these. Also in his favour, Bottman goes well fresh and his trainer Tim Vaughan has his string in rude health. For Non Stop is probably the best long term prospect, and could easily scoot up after showing excellent form over hurdles here, however at around even money that looks a bit short first time over the larger obstacles.

Jump Racing ~ 14th Oct Cheltenham 5.05 Earth Planet 2pt EW - 6/1 PP Ran a cracking race lto against better rivals and has always been a talented horse. Has won off 125 over hurdles here and placed off 136, so definitely well treated over fences. Not straightforward, but cheek-pieces appear to suit him and very talented rider will claim 7lbs. Meets exposed opposition and has a great chance imo.
