Fontwell 3.50 Zorro De La Vega 1.25pt EW - 8/1 gen Rippling Ring 0.75pt win - 4/1 SJ Zorro De La Vega has been a revelation since moving to Sarah Humphrey. Won 4 from 6 and would've won at Lingfield too if he hadn't fallen. His only bad run was when he finished lame, so that one could be ignored completely. Came back after a layoff and won well lto. Will improve a lot for that and I don't think he has stopped improving yet. This will be run at a furious pace and I think his hold-up style will be suited. Rippling Ring was a classy horse few seasons ago and if the champion trainer has him anywhere near that form, he might be too good for all of these, so I have to save stake on him. 5.00 Merry Terry 2pt EW - 10/3 gen Won very easily on seasonal reappearance at Newton Abbot lto. Was in great form in pointers before that and I think his average form from 2009 and 2010 is well behind him. Looks an improved horse and the 9lb rise for the win lto will be offset by Stephen Clements' 6lb claim. Plenty of recent winners here and most of the field comes in form, but many of them are flattered and my selection could be very well handicapped. I'd be surprised if he doesn't finish in the first three and has every chance to take this contest. Gowran Park 4.10 Wee Giant 0.5pt EW - 10/1 PP Very quirky individual, who I've backed once or twice this summer. Decided not to follow him anymore, but have couple of reasons to back one final time - 1) Ruby is on board and 2) the horse is trying 3 miles today. Has always looked a bit one paced to me, so the trip might see him do better here and Ruby will be able to switch him off and deliver a late challenge. Competitive affair, but yard couldn't be in better form, so at 10/1, I thought a small bet is worth a try.

Re: Jump Racing ~ 30th Sep Red Skipper 2.30 Hexham. 0.5 points each way. Will need to be on top form to beat the favourite, but take the favourite out the race and it's ours for the taking I think. We can find more than showing too, as thinks too much at times, so with no trip and ground worries would be a good value each way bet. 7/1 William Hill (bog) __________________
