Bangor 3.50 McCauley 1pt EW - 15/2 Lads VC 2nd in March splitting decent rivals in a hunters chase and then won in April. Flop on his latest outing was probably a run too many for the season. Now with powerful stable and making his handicap debut, he jumped blatantly to the left at Ludlow and Towcester, so this left handed track will suit. Decent 7lb claimer will offset top weight burden and I think he could be well handicapped against mainly exposed horses and couple, who might need the run. JP/AP combo is backed and obviously a danger if plotted today, but what can you do. 4.20 Serious Choice 3pt win - 10/3 Boyle Paddy 3rd behind Overturn and Knight In Purple in 2010 represents fantastic form with both horses franking it several times since. Naturally won his next start off 96 and was bound to improve no end after that, but had a setback and came back after more than a year off the track at Sandown in July. Ran as if in need of the run and repeated it 10 days after at Newbury, when again with every chance few furlongs out and finishing nowhere. These 2 runs should have put him spot on for today and I think he could be very well handicapped off only 3lbs higher than his Newton Abbot 2010 win.

Reasoning Twiced raced in bumper for Nicky Henderson, now with trainer Alison Thorpe. Besides Henderson, Thorpe is the only trainer in the field to have won a race here. She has 1 win from 2 entries at the course this seasons with the winner able to leave his rivals behind by 10 lengths in a Novices' Selling Hurdle. The selection could run a shocker here as he is bred to be good at this game. He is half-brother 3m hurdl/2m5f chase winner Gee Dee Nen, bumper/2m-2m3f hurdle winner Special Occasion, 2m hurdle winner Queen´s Dancer; dam 2m1f Flat/hurdle winner around 2m4f.
